Goal 1-Assessment:
Determine the current child care and development needs for Plumas County.
Goal 2-Planning:
Prepare a comprehensive county-wide child care plan designed to mobilize public and private resources to address identified needs.
Goal 3-Marketing:
Develop and implement targeted advertising and promotional campaigns.
Goal 4-Collaboration:
Collaborate with subsidized and non-subsidized child care providers, the State and local Proposition 10 Commission, county welfare and human service departments, job training programs, employers, integrated child and family service councils, and parent organizations to foster partnerships to meet local child care needs. Target council membership shall be 20% consumers, 20% child care providers, 20% public agency representatives, 20%community representatives, and 20% at the discretion of the council form the four target groups.
Goal 5-Coordination:
Coordinate child care programs and services throughout Plumas County.
Goal 6-Consultation:
Provide consultation to CDE and CDSS regarding the development of a single application and intake form for all federal and state subsidized child care and development programs.
Goal 7-County-wide Training:
Organize and Implement one County Wide Training event to extend the mission statement and goals of the strategic plan to the Plumas County Child Care and Development population at large.
Goal 8-Special Populations:
Focus on the specific needs of special needs children.
Goal 9-LPC Training:
Coordinate and implement training plan to provide increased efficiency, productivity, and facilitation of LPC meetings.
Goal 10-Leveraging of resources:
Heighten awareness of opportunities to share information and resources. Maximize use and access to limited resources related to child care.
